Currently showing at The Sisters Restaurant (Everett Public Market Building 2804 Grand Avenue Everett, WA 98201) through May 3rd is my "Grunge Gods" series featuring Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Eddie Vedder and Scott Weiland.
This colorful, energetic series is all about the front men of the 90s grunge bands. Painted in striking colors, these original paintings are a tribute to the rockers of my youth. I love painting in this style. There's no pre-planning of what colors are going to go where, or what shapes will form, until I start painting. That's the fun of it, really. Playing with shapes and colors as I go along. Most of the paintings are rather large, Layne Staley and Eddie Vedder are the largest at 36x36".
