The recent photograph of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was striking. The deep lines in his face, the look of grief in his eyes. I painted this particular photo because it captures the horrors of war. You can see the pain and stress that has come with the Russian Federation's invasion and from seeing the dead lying in the streets.
