The night of May 18th my heart sank instantly after a friend tweeted me a link saying that Chris Cornell had died.
I had seen Soundgarden and Cornell in concert numerous times in the past 25 years and considered myself one of the biggest Soundgarden fans on the planet. I crushed on Chris for his looks (duh) and his raw, powerful vocals.
I'm still struggling to wrap my head around his death.
This painting, "Superunknown", will likely be one of many Cornell paintings I do this year. I am super pleased with the final piece and am almost sad to say it has sold already. It looked quite nice in my living room. In all seriousness, I know the new owner will enjoy this captivating tribute to Chris.
